Netflix Just Released the First Very Intense Minute of Season Five of Orange Is The New Black
Back in February, we learned that season five of Orange Is The New Black will take place over just three days. That means they’re going to be packing a lot of intensity into a short period of time. The first minute of the season, released today, shows just what that’s going to look like.
We’ll be picking up right where we left off at the end of last season, with Daya pointing a gun at CO Humphrey’s head. Her fellow prisoners have rallied around her, and they’re telling her to shoot him.
Next, we see Piper and Alex walking together, talking about how they’re going to be “laying low” from now on. That’s when they see the riot. Alex turns to walk the other way and at first Piper hesitates, but ultimately she follows her.
Daya tells everyone around her, “I need you to be quiet,” but they don’t listen. The teaser ends with a gunshot, though it’s not entirely clear who shot the gun or who, if anyone, was shot at.
The season will be available to binge-watch on June 9th. Watch the teaser above, via Netflix.
