Earlier in the week, Oakland Raiders defensive lineman Aldon Smith posted “Good try, not me” on Twitter — in relation to a Periscope video which featured a man widely thought to be Smith holding a hand-rolled cigarette, appearing to contain marijuana.
Though he has not yet copped to being the man in the video, Smith is now reportedly on his way to rehab.
TMZ Sports is reporting through multiple sources that Smith has entered a treatment facility.
Smith is currently serving a year-long suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. As of now, he is eligible to apply to return to the league in September, and if reinstated, return to the field in November.
