Nunes’s Intel Claims Contradicted by Documents Seen by Lawmakers on Both Sides

A new report says that lawmakers and aides on both sides of the aisle have reviewed the same documents as House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes, and found no evidence to support claims that former National Security Advisor Susan Rice or any other Obama administration officials acted improperly.

According to CNN, the lawmakers and aides said that requests made by Rice were “normal and appropriate.” In a New York Times interview, President Donald Trump claimed that “the Susan Rice thing is a massive story.”

But CNN’s reporting would appear to contradict Trump’s statement and vindicate Rice. One lawmaker told CNN that there was “absolutely” no smoking gun in the documents. That lawmaker called on the White House to declassify them.
