Obama Mercilessly Mocks GOP Rep for ‘Shameless’ Attempt to Praise Him Now

Darrell Issa, one of the main Republicans who has fought the Obama administration many times over the past few years, sent out a campaign mailer praising President Obama in his reelection race:

President Obama was at a fundraiser last night, and according to Politico, he couldn’t believe Issa’s “chutzpah”:

Standing here Sunday night at a fundraiser for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee at the home of longtime donor Christine Forester, Obama said Issa’s “primary contribution to the United States Congress has been to obstruct and to waste taxpayer dollars on trumped-up investigations that have led nowhere.”

He also referred to Issa as the kind of Republican who’ll trash him in public but then eagerly ask for a picture with at the White House Christmas party.

Issa responded in a statement saying, “I’m disappointed but not surprised that the president, in a political speech, continues to deny accountability for the serious scandals that happened under his watch where Americans died overseas and veterans have died here at home
