Two snap polls that measured public opinion after the conclusion of Tuesday night’s presidential debate between President Barack Obama and GOP nominee Mitt Romney named the president the winner of that contest. On Wednesday, speaking to supporters on the campaign trail, Obama said that he thinks he is getting better at debating.
Speaking to a group of supporters in Iowa on Wednesday, President Obama said that he thinks he has improved on his last debate performance against Mitt Romney. POLITICO reports that the president has an improved view of his own performance.
“Now, as many of you know, we had our second debate last night,” he said at a campaign rally here at Cornell College. “You know, I’m still trying to figure out how to get the hang of this thing, debating. But we’re working on it, you know. We’ll keep on improving as time goes on. I’ve got one left.”
