Federal authorities have been alerted to a possible security breach at the website of the Albuquerque Journal Thursday after what appears to be ISIS propaganda showed up their homepage.
An article about a 1971 police shooting was replaced Thursday morning by a post that praised ISIS and warned that “CHRISTMAS WILL NEVER BE MERRY ANY LONGER.” The article praised ISIS and warned readers that the Sunni militants had broken into personal devices and stolen data.
The site was taken down for a while in response. The paper said that the changes appeared limited to that one article, and that there was no data breach of its servers.
