CBS News’ Norah O’Donnell spoke with Speaker Paul Ryan today and asked whether the health care bill could have passed last week if President Trump had been more personally involved in the process.
In a preview clip for the full CBS This Morning interview, Ryan said that Trump was “deeply involved” and “really rolled up his sleeves.”
What concerns Ryan, however, is that if the GOP can’t get this done soon, Trump will “just go work with Democrats” instead.
The president has expressed a willingness to work with Democrats on health care, with Sean Spicer saying this week he was “absolutely” serious about that.
There appears to have been an error in CBS’ upload of the clip, but you can listen above, via CBS News. The full interview airs tomorrow on CBS This Morning.
