Paula Deen Set to Return to Cable TV After 2 Years

Paula Deen is set to return to cable television after an almost two-year absence with a new live show on the network EVine Live.

Per the New York Post:

Evine, known as ShopHQ before a name change in November, will follow up on “Paula Deen’s Kitchen” with a three-hour midweek premiere and also air additional live segments once every six-to-eight weeks.

EVine Live is an outgrowth of the online lifestyle store created to compete with television-based institutions like the Home Shopping Network and QVC, which purchased ShopHQ from NBC/Universal a couple years back to become a television venture.

Deen lost her old show and numerous endorsement deals after a lawsuit revealed she had referred to her employees using racial epithets. The suit was eventually dismissed.
