On Tuesday, Eric Trump, President Donald Trump‘s son, asserted that his sister, Ivanka, helped convinced their father to conduct the recent missile strike on Syria.
The Trump son sat down for an interview with the U.K.’s Daily Telegraph. He underlined that “Ivanka is a mother of three kids and she has influence. I’m sure she said: ‘Listen, this is horrible stuff.'”
Eric Trump further explained his take on his sister’s role in the White House, per the Telegraph:
Eric Trump, 33, who has taken over the running of his father’s property empire with his brother, Donald Jnr, said she [Ivanka] has a positive influence over the president because she is never afraid to say ‘no’.
He outlined that “Ivanka is by his side in Washington. She is not involved in everything. I think she comes and goes with issues she deeply cares about.”
The younger Trump, who was visiting one of the Trump Corporation’s resorts in Scotland, also claimed that “his father was ‘deeply affected’ by the images of injured children in the aftermath of the chemical weapons attack, in Idlib province, north-east Syria.”
Eric Trump later voiced his support for the attack on the Assad regime facility: “At some point America is the global leader and the world’s superpower has to come forward and act and they did with a lot of support of our allies and I think that’s a great thing.”
