Earlier today, during a call with the press, RNC spokesman and incoming White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer told reporters that famed music producer Quincy Jones would be one of the 800 attendees at President-elect Donald Trump’s New Year’s Eve party.
However, according to Jones’ spokesman, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer won’t be in attendance and he isn’t really sure why this claim was made.
Jones’s spokesman, Arnold Robinson, said that he wouldn’t be attending, and didn’t know where Trump’s team got the information.
As Variety noted, Jones has been a longtime supporter of the Democratic Party and donated to the campaign of Hillary Clinton.
Another celebrity who Spicer claimed will be at the NYE shindig is Sylvester Stallone, who was reportedly being considered by Trump to lead the National Endowment of Arts.
