Senator Rand Paul roasted MSNBC during an appearance on that network today for their lack of truth-telling, but apparently he wasn’t done, because CNN reports Paul continued to jab at the liberal network during a speech for the Young Americans for Liberty.
Paul joked, “So I was having a great day today, then I went to MSNBC.” Ari Melber had confronted him on The Cycle about the controversy regarding his past views on the Civil Rights Act. Paul previously expressed uncertainty about one provision of the landmark legislation, but now says he supports the whole thing.
And Paul said tonight that’s always been the case, no matter what MSNBC might think.
“I said, ‘Look I’ll come back and have a great philosophical discussion after you go on the air for 24 hours (and) apologize for all the lousy lies you’ve been saying about me for four years,’” he said.
Paul also said MSNBC has a couple of honest people, but other than that, they’re “partisan cranks and hacks.”
