Report: Michael Flynn Has Offered to Testify in Exchange for Immunity

The Wall Street Journal has a big report out tonight saying Michael Flynn has offered to testify in exchange for immunity.

Flynn, you’ll recall, resigned last month as National Security Advisor because, as he put it, he “inadvertently briefed the Vice President Elect and others with incomplete information regarding my phone calls with the Russian Ambassador.”

After he resigned, Press Secretary Sean Spicer had said that this was an issue of trust and not about him doing anything “improper or illegal.”

The Journal report tonight says Flynn has told the FBI and the members of Congress conducting the Russia investigations that “he is willing to be interviewed in exchange for a grant of immunity from prosecution, according to officials with knowledge of the matter.”

The report also notes that while he’s made the offer to the FBI and both congressional intel committees through his lawyer, he “has so far found no takers.”

UPDATE –– 7:43 pm ET: You can see a statement from Flynn’s counsel on how he “certainly has a story to tell,” per Politico:
