Restaurant Rushes to Apologize After Reality Star’s Pic Shows People Doing Nazi Salute Inside

Tila Tequila is a person you might know for her involvement in reality television in the early 2000s or her more recent attention-grabbing antics online. She posts a lot about being a Nazi. Like, a lot. Naturally, she attended this year’s National Policy Institute conference, which is a meeting of white nationalists. (Don’t do too many mental gymnastics trying to figure out why a Singapore-born Vietnamese immigrant is so invested in white nationalism; no one really gets it.) That took place in the Ronald Reagan Building but D.C. eatery Maggiano’s held a private banquet for guests later, which is where Tequila posed doing a Nazi salute.

Tequila was celebrating the election of Donald Trump with fellow white nationalists as protests grew outside. According to the Washington City Paper, the protesters turned their fury on the restaurant after they saw the photo posted by the aspiring musician.

In a Facebook post, Maggiano’s management vowed to donate $10,000 to the Anti-Defamation League in response to the gesture made inside of their restaurant and took ownership for not realizing who was dining inside of the establishment.
