Roseanne Insists She’s Not Racist in New Tweet: ‘A Lifetime Of Fighting’ For Civil Rights ‘Will Never B Taken From Me’

Roseanne Barr, the disgraced comedienne, wants to tell the world something important: she’s not a racist.

Even if she posted a really racist tweet calling former Obama senior adviser Valerie Jarrett what you get if “the Muslim Brotherhood and Planet of the Apes had a baby,” a comment which got the blockbuster reboot of her show cancelled within hours of its publication, she’s definitely not racist.

“I’m not a racist, I never was & I never will be,” Roseanne tweeted. “One stupid joke in a lifetime of fighting 4 civil rights 4 all minorities, against networks, studios, at the expense of my nervous system/family/wealth will NEVER b taken from me.”

So, you know, she just had a racist moment.

Meanwhile, Roseanne has been known to say some other pretty, uh, racist things. In 2013, Roseanne tweeted something awful about former National Security Adviser Susan Rice which was not dissimilar to what she said about Jarrett:

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, sorry Roseanne, you’re a racist.
