Bernie Sanders is trying to redirect his movement to fall in line behind Hillary Clinton, and he admonished some of his supporters Tuesday morning by once again reminding them that there’s only one alternative to be had.
The Vermont senator has been offering his support for Clinton over the last two weeks, though the start of the Democratic National Convention has only proven that his followers are extremely resistant to backing someone within the political establishment. In the middle of a breakfast speech to his California delegates, Sanders said that booing his calls for unity will do nothing to stop Donald Trump‘s march.

“It is easy to boo,” Sanders said, “but it’s harder to look your kids in the face who would be living under Donald Trump.”
Sanders has said many times that Trump must not be president, and he used the rest of his speech to slam the mogul again as a “demagogue” who flies in the face of the Constitution. Sanders’ message comes as his latest effort to have his supporters “embrace the reality” and follow his lead.
