Scaramucci Reacts to His Leaked Financial Disclosure: ‘I Will Be Contacting FBI and DOJ’ (UPDATE)
On Wednesday night, Politico issued a report that alleges that incoming White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci is still profiting from his investment firm Skybridge Capital.
According to a financial disclosure filed with the Office of Government Ethics, he earned $4.9 million and more than $5 million in salary in 2016.
Per the report:
A SkyBridge spokeswoman said Scaramucci stepped down from the executive post Jan. 17, when the company’s sale was announced. He remained an employee of the firm, collecting a salary, until starting at Ex-Im last month.”
Scaramucci reacted to his leaked financial disclosure on Twitter.
“In light of the leak of my financial disclosure info which is a felony,” he stated, “I will contact the FBI and the Justice Department.”
It’s worth noting that he included White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus to the tweet.
Scaramucci officially boarded the Trump administration as the new White House Communications Director last Friday, just as Press Secretary Sean Spicer resigned. And he has since talked tough about ridding leakers from the White House.
It appears he has his work cut out for him.
UPDATE: Scaramucci has since deleted the tweet and posted this instead:
