Employees Claim Sexual Harassment is ‘Rampant’ at McDonalds in New Complaint
Things are not looking so good for Donald Trump‘s favorite restaurant. Fight for $15, a workers’ rights organization has helped McDonald’s employees file a sexual harassment claim against the fast food chain. The organization says that “four in ten women working in fast food restaurants deal with sexual harassment on the job.”
Employees say they have had to endure being groped, received unwanted dick pics, and have dealt with a ton of other inappropriate behavior. As one woman said, “this is not okay.” Fight for $15 also made a video that so far has been seen more than 54,000 times.
In the complaint, a worker alleges her supervisor “grabbed my breasts on several occasions and would intentionally rub his genitals against my butt.” Several others have similar stories. Many workers say they faced retaliation for complaining. Others say they got no response from the company and ended up quitting in order to get away from the harassment.
Fight for $15 has a petition on its website encouraging McDonald’s to “end rampant sexual harassment at your stores today.”
In a statement, McDonald’s said “There is no place for harassment and discrimination of any kind in McDonald’s restaurants or in any workplace. We take any concerns seriously and are reviewing the allegations.”
