Slain Baton Rouge Officer’s Heartfelt Facebook Post After Alton Sterling Shooting
Montrell Jackson has been identified by The Advocate as one of the three officers killed in a Sunday morning shooting in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Jackson, 32, was reportedly a 10-year veteran of the Police Department, and just welcomed a son of his own into his own family. The local newspaper reports that Jackson was injured back in 2007 trying to save a toddler from a burning building.

“I’m tired physically and emotionally,” Jackson wrote.
“I’ve experienced so much in my short life and these last 3 days have tested me to the core. When people you know begin to question your integrity you realize they don’t really know you at all all. Look at my actions they speak LOUD and CLEAR,” he said.
