If The New Republic truly wants to be a “vertically integrated digital media company,” they are going to need to get a handle on which iconic female pop star is married to rapper Jay Z.
At the bottom of an article dated March 31, so you know it’s not a funny April Fools’ Day joke, there is a correction that reads: “This piece originally listed Jay Z’s wife as Rihanna. His wife is Beyonce.”
First of all, it’s Beyoncé with an accent on the “e.” Second of all, c’mon, staff writer Danny Vinik. How do you expect people to take your argument about the economic problems with Jay Z’s new streaming service Tidal seriously if you can’t even get this simple fact right?
