This Couple Got Married on Thanksgiving in the Produce Section of a Grocery Store
When you meet the love of your life in the grocery store, you pretty much only have one choice as far as wedding venues go. This past Thanksgiving, that’s exactly what one couple from Albany, Georgia did. After retuning from a tour in Afghanistan, Larry Tinson went to Harvey’s Supermarket to pick up some cranberry sauce for his Thanksgiving dinner. There, he saw Mary, who he had met a few times before.
Mary told ABC 7, “I heard someone say ‘Hey, girl,’ and I turned around and said ‘Oh my God, Larry? I haven’t seen you in over 20-something years.” After that, they began dating.
When Mary and Larry decided to get married, Larry knew it had to be at the grocery store on Thanksgiving. The pair literally walked down aisle three, and guests were treated to wedding cake topped with cranberries. Each guest also went home with a can of cranberry sauce.
Ken Wicker, Harvey’s VP of Operations told ABC 7, “On Thanksgiving, I mean, we all have things to be thankful for, and we appreciate them allowing us to be a part of this special moment.”
