The arrests indicate a widening net of inquiry from British authorities into the attack, which was committed by a single suicide bomber, 22-year-old Salman Abedi. The broader probe comes as ISIS has claimed responsibility. An additional suspect was arrested yesterday.
The bombing largely overshadowed news from President Donald Trump’s first world tour. While meeting with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, Trump called the terrorists “evil losers.” British Prime Minister Theresa May also denounced the attack in a brief statement and suspended her own election campaign.
