Tom Brady: Donald Trump Is ‘Remarkable,’ But Keep Me ‘Out of This Debate’

tom brady supports donald trumpNew England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, a cautious fan of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, remained cautiously optimistic about his friend during an interview on Tuesday.

According to the Boston Globe, Brady told WEEI’s The Dennis and Callahan Show in Boston that he wanted to be left out of the topic of conversation when Trump’s candidacy came up on conversation.

“Can I just stay out of this debate?” he laughed when the Boston sports radio show hosts asked him about Trump’s proposed Muslim ban.

Despite his nervous laughter, however, Brady still referred to Trump as his “friend” and remained ambiguously supportive of his presidential campaign.

“Donald is a good friend of mine. I have known him for a long time. I support all my friends. That is what I have to say,” he said. “I think it’s pretty remarkable what he’s achieved in his life. You’re going from business — kind of an incredible businessman — and then a TV star, and then getting into politics. It’s a pretty different career path. I think that is pretty remarkable.”
