Even though it’s tax day, let’s have something uplifting for this Monday, shall we?
Tracy Morgan brought his “Picking Up The Pieces” stand-up tour to New Brunswick, New Jersey on Saturday to give a special show to the first responders who saved his life in 2014.
Even though the comedian has returned to acting for about half a year now, he has gotten emotional in the past when recalling the accident that left him comatose, and actor Jimmy Mack dead. Morgan got emotional again when he spoke with People magazine as he explained how much it meant for him to give a show to the hospital staffers
“Last night was one of the most special nights of my life. To be standing on stage with the people that saved my life in the audience was an overwhelming experience. I will never fully be able to thank the doctors, nurses, first responders and everyone else that got me back on that stage enough.”
Morgan gave his show at the State Theatre, located two miles away from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. According to ABC, Morgan brought all of the employees backstage to meet with him when the show was over, and he donated the night’s profits to the hospital.
