It ought to come as no surprise that President Donald Trump is super into Judge Jeanine Pirro‘s Saturday Fox show, Justice with Judge Jeanine — as the judge is complimentary of him, often to a fault.
But could it be that the White House actually sends people onto Pirro’s show to satiate the president and thwart him from calling in himself? A new report says yes.
Trump, who rarely gives one-on-ones, agreed to be interviewed for Pirro’s upcoming book, Liars, Leakers and Liberals: The Case Against the Anti-Trump Conspiracy, as did the normally reticent Chief of Staff John Kelly. Trump has urged his other staffers to sit down with Pirro as well, and it certainly wouldn’t be the first time.
According to several White House officials speaking to The Washington Post on the condition of anonymity, White House communications ensures that someone from their team is on Pirro’s show every week – in part because they know the president will be tuning in, and in part because they don’t want him calling in himself, as he did not two months ago.
“Someone has to be on the show every week,” a White House official told The Washington Post.
Good to know that part of this White House’s communications strategy and resource allotment is making sure the president knows his friends are still his friends.
