Trump Calls For Stricter Gun Control Measures: ‘Congress is in a Mood to Finally Do Something…I Hope!’
President Donald Trump has been busy on Twitter this Thursday morning. After hitting CNN and NBC for what he claimed was a distortion of the concealed carry proposal he put forth on Wednesday during the White House listening session on gun violence, and then clarifying that position, the President is now coming out in favor of stricter gun control measures.
In what was his fifth Tweet of the morning, Trump called for raising the minimum age on gun purchases to 21, and ending the sale of bump stocks.
I will be strongly pushing Comprehensive Background Checks with an emphasis on Mental Health. Raise age to 21 and end sale of Bump Stocks! Congress is in a mood to finally do something on this issue – I hope!
