Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski attacked Huffington Post for banishing his boss from its politics page, but inadvertently revealed he somehow thought the online publication was a newspaper with paid subscribers.
“Well, look, you know this, you’ve got a tabloid publication called The Huffington Post,” Lewandowski said in a Virginia radio interview caught by Buzzfeed. “It doesn’t carry much real news anyway. It continues to lose money and doesn’t want to report on the frontrunner of the GOP race for president.”
“That’s okay, but it is also a clear indication why nobody pays for a subscription to that paper anymore because no one can take it seriously. It’s a glorified blog is all it is,” he said.
The Huffington Post has never been a paper for its entire history, and has never had subscribers.
