Trump Declines to Tell Blitzer How He’ll ‘Knock the Hell Out of ISIS’
Today, during a phoned-in interview on CNN, Donald Trump was asked a particularly difficult question about ISIS by Wolf Blitzer, but he didn’t expand on it like he has in the past. Blitzer shared that there are currently presumed to be 60 ISIS fighters on the ground in Europe to carry out attacks in cities like Paris, London, and Berlin.
“If you were President of the United States, what would you do about that?” he asked the man with a history of struggling with foreign policy.
“I would knock the hell out of ISIS, Wolf,” said Trump. “I would knock them out and they would be gone so fast.”
He went on to decry immigrants and refugees, but when Blitzer asked, “Do you want to give us details how you would do that?”
“I don’t want to do that now, no,” responded the presidential candidate. “We aim to have a little bit of surprise every once in a while without telling our plans.”
This interview came two days after the eighth GOP debate, which ostensibly served to give each candidate a platform from which to tell their plans.
