Trump Goes After ‘The Fake News’ for Reaction to McCabe Firing: ‘Beside Themselves’
President Trump is now going after the media for its coverage of Andrew McCabe‘s firing.
Trump, who tweeted about McCabe a few times last year, celebrated his firing last night, and McCabe himself said he is the subject of a smear campaign due to his involvement in investigations concerning the Trump administration.
This afternoon the President went after the “fake news” again while also bringing up the political connections of McCabe’s wife again:
The Fake News is beside themselves that McCabe was caught, called out and fired. How many hundreds of thousands of dollars was given to wife’s campaign by Crooked H friend, Terry M, who was also under investigation? How many lies? How many leaks? Comey knew it all, and much more!

(McCabe confirmed to CNN in an interview last night that every time he met with Trump the President would bring up his wife.)
Trump’s tweet this afternoon came shortly before this cryptic tweet from former FBI Director James Comey:
Mr. President, the American people will hear my story very soon. And they can judge for themselves who is honorable and who is not.
