On Monday morning, President Trump decided to have a few laughs at the expense of the Democratic National Committee during a technology and cybersecurity summit at the White House, according to Fox News.
During the meeting, which included Silicon Valley heavyweights like Apple’s Tim Cook, Microsoft’s Satya Nadella and Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, CEO of the internet firm Akamai, Tom Leighton, touted the fact that his company protects many government websites from attackers, including WhiteHouse.gov.
President Trump took advantage of the opening and decided to take a shot at the DNC and their now infamous email hack during the 2016 presidential election cycle.
“The DNC could have used you”, the President interjected, eliciting a few laughs from the crowd.
U.S. intelligence agencies and a slew of democrats have blamed the email theft on Russian hackers who allegedly gave the emails to WikiLeaks.

It is unlikely that many anti-Trump folks will find the joke as funny as Mr. Trump given the fact that most still blame the hack for Hillary Clinton’s defeat in the 2016 election.
Although evidence has yet to be produced, many on the left are still confident that President Trump colluded with Russia in an attempt to sabotage the election.
