Trump: ‘Not at All Concerned’ About Sessions Talking to Robert Mueller

During a press spray in the Oval Office today, President Donald Trump said he’s not the least bit worried about the news that Attorney General Jeff Sessions spoke to Special Counsel Robert Mueller for his Russia probe.

The attorney general was interviewed for several hours last week, making him the first member of Trump’s cabinet to speak with the Special Counsel about Russian election interference and whether there was any collusion with the Trump campaign. Trump allowed the media to join him on Tuesday as he signed a bill to place tariffs on several technological imports, and he ended up taking several questions about what he thought about Sessions talking to Mueller.

Trump said he didn’t speak to Sessions about the interview, but “I’m not at all concerned” about it.

Trump also took the opportunity to refute the recent reports saying that FBI Director Christopher Wray threatened to resign if he continued to be pressed to fire deputy director Andrew McCabe:

“He didn’t at all. He did not even a little bit,” Trump said.
