As President Trump continues to face questions about his connections to Russia, the White House said that they are preparing a “certified letter” to refute the notion that the president has any kinds of business links to Russia.
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is chairman of the Senate subcommittee investigating Russian activity during the 2016 election, and recently said that he wants to launch an inquiry into Trump’s past business dealings. Press Secretary Sean Spicer told reporters that Trump hired a “a leading law firm in Washington,” and they will send Graham a letter to prove that the mogul has no connections to Russia, Bloomberg reported.
Spicer insisted that it would be an easy case to prove.
Russia’s active campaign to interfere with the election has been confirmed, and members of Trump’s team are currently facing investigations over potential collusion. Questions about Russia saw an explosive resurgence when Trump fired James Comey as the FBI continues to investigate the matter.
