Trump Will Travel to Israel This Month, Denies Report He’s Going to Jordan Too

donald trumpDonald Trump is traveling to Israel later this month, but he’s refuting a report that says he’s going to Jordan as well.

According to the Associated Press, which cited Trump’s own campaign, the GOP presidential frontrunner has been planning this trip to Jordan (following Ben Carson‘s Jordan trip) and had been hoping for a meeting with King Abdullah himself.

The AP report takes particular note of how Jordan is a majority-Muslim country that Trump would be visiting in the wake of his proposal to ban foreign Muslims from entering the United States.

Trump confirmed the Israel trip on Twitter, but denied he’s going to Jordan too:

Once again, this is the same “false” AP report that cited Trump’s own campaign saying he wanted a meeting with King Abdullah.

Bloomberg columnist Josh Rogin noted that Trump had apparently reached out to the State Department on that trip:
