Tucker Carlson Battles Guest: Why Would You Want Media to ‘Shun’ Kellyanne Conway?
Tucker Carlson opened his show tonight facing off with a guest over recent debate over whether networks should stop booking Kellyanne Conway.
The argument, as laid out by one journalism professor is that Conway gets “easily contradicted” by Trump and her comments tend to create “more confusion about the Trump world things,” ergo
Carlson brought on Elite Daily senior politics writer John Haltiwanger for a face-off over this issue, asking why he would want to “shun” people.
Haltiwanger said that Conway is spreading “blatant lies” and it’s a problem if people “disagree on basic facts.”
Carlson noted that the Trump administration should probably stop focusing on “frivolous issues,” but he was personally bothered by Conway being considered “uniquely reprehensible” when it comes to lying.
He pointed out that the Obama administration engaged in lies too and told Haltiwanger his outrage seems “selective.”
They also got into a back-and-forth about Haltiwanger saying Trump’s “National Day of Patriotic Devotion” “has parallels to Nazi Germany and North Korea.”
