Vice Media plans to fire at least fifteen people Tuesday, reports Politico, with additional firings beginning the same day.
Politico’s Hadas Gold reports that former Bloomberg editor Josh Tyrangiel will head up the company’s news division as part of “a reorganization that will see around 15 Vice News digital producers, writers and editors laid off in New York and Los Angeles.”
Shortly after Politico’s story went to print, Vice foreign correspondent Harriet Salem announced on Twitter that the layoffs had already begun in Europe.
