Videos Show Instances Of Alleged Police Brutality On Occupy Wall Street Protesters

The OccupyWallStNY Twitter account posted the following video yesterday night, describing it as depicting a police officer professing that he wants to “beat” Occupy Wall Street protesters. While the cop never mentions the protests by name in the footage, he does, apparently unaware that he’s being recorded, joke with a laughing colleague about wanting his “little nightstick” to “get a workout tonight, hopefully.” His colleague tells him she has yet to use hers, to which he responds “I have” before proceeding to pantomime a beating.

The video below, also uploaded last night amid various Twitter reports of alleged police brutality, is labeled “Cops Beating People Up At Occupy Wall Street.” In it, a throng of people is shown screaming amid flashing cameras and shrill whistles. At the center of the chaos are various police officers. At the beginning of the video, one white-shirted officer is seen keeping the crowd at bay with the use of his nightstick as people around him scream:
