WATCH LIVE: Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor — Conor McGregor Media Session

UFC star Conor McGregor welcomes the media inside the UFC Performance Center in Las Vegas on Friday for an open workout in advance of his Aug. 26 boxing showdown with Floyd Mayweather.

The session is McGregor’s first open media availability since the infamous four city press tour, in which he and Mayweather verbally clashed at every stop. It follows a similar availability from Mayweather on Thursday, in which Mayweather spoke confidently about the prospect that he would knock out McGregor — even though he hasn’t won a fight by knockout since 2011.

Mayweather, on Thursday, spoke to reports that the bout is struggling at the box office — as several thousand tickets are still available for purchase on Ticketmaster’s website. And even more tickets can be had on the secondary market.

“Forget what you’re hearing,” Mayweather said, via the New York Post “Our fight is doing unbelievable numbers. The pay-per-view will be unbelievable and we’ll have a sold-out crowd. I’m not worried about that.”

Yet the tickets are still available. But an open media session with Conor McGregor ought to help drum up a little interest. Mayweather’s gym was packed Thursday. And the UFC Performance Center likewise figures to be packed tonight.
