Thursday afternoon in Las Vegas, Floyd Mayweather opens his gym in Las Vegas for a public workout in advance of Aug. 26 showdown with Conor McGregor.
It’s a rare public appearance for Mayweather — his first open media session since the four day international press tour circus in July. The undefeated boxing champion and the UFC star clashed during the four stops on the tour — which seemed to get more contentious as it went along.
The press tour seemed to capture the public’s attention, but anticipation for the bout does appear to be waning just a bit. Plenty of tickets still remain — provided you’re willing to pay the thousands of dollars for which the seats are being listed.
But CostCo may be able to get you a price break. According Yahoo!, the discount retailer appears to be listing tickets to the bout for a price somewhat less than Ticketmaster is asking, with taxes and fees included.
And so, with demand seeming to be waning a little, the fighters will be back in front of the cameras over the next two days. McGregor takes his turn tomorrow. But on Thursday, it’s all Mayweather.
Coverage begins at 5:00 p.m. ET. Watch above, via Showtime.
