President Donald Trump traveled to Cincinnati, Ohio on Monday to visit a company that doled out $1,000 bonuses to its employees after Republicans passed their tax bill earlier this year.
Trump, who is expected to tout the American economy and the GOP tax law in a speech to the company, is accompanied by wife Melania, who is expected to discuss the opioid crisis roiling the nation.
The president will deliver remarks to Sheffer Corp, an Ohio-based manufacturer that recently gave 126 workers $1,000 bonuses because of the tax bill.
Trump’s remarks about the state of the economy come as the Dow crashes down from the record highs it reached in January: it was down another 300 points on Monday, bringing its total drop over two days close to 1,000 points.
The White House said in a statement that it is “always concerned when the market loses any value” — but don’t expect Trump to voice any of those concerns when he addresses the employees of Sheffer Corp on Monday.
Watch Trump’s speech live at 2:30 p.m. EST., via The White House.
