White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will meet the press corps in a briefing set for 2:00 p.m. ET.
The big news yesterday about North Korea will no doubt be the major topic of conversation. President Trump tweeted last night, “Great progress being made but sanctions will remain until an agreement is reached. Meeting being planned!” Huckabee Sanders will definitely be getting questions about the planning of this meeting between the President and Kim Jong-Un.
There’s also the issue of White House chaos, which she downplayed just days ago, given the resignation of Gary Cohn and a new Vanity Fair report saying Trump is in full DGAF mode.
Of course, reporters may also ask about some new details in the Stormy Daniels saga. Just today it came out that Trump lawyer Michael Cohen reportedly used his Trump Organization email address while making arrangements to pay her. Huckabee Sanders was asked a few questions about Daniels’ lawsuit on Wednesday and she will likely be asked a bit more today.
Other topics may include: the steel and aluminum tariffs as well as some GOP resistance to them, the new Februaryg jobs numbers, and Trump’s meeting on violent video games yesterday.
