Throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at a MLB baseball game can be an intimidating experience for any non-athlete; the flashing cameras, the eyes of thousands beating down on you, and not to mention the fact that your throw — if awful — will be replayed on computer screens into perpetuity.
In the tradition of 50 Cent‘s legendary WAY outside first pitch at a Mets game, Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lion aka Cordozar Calvin Broadus, Jr. aka What-Is-He-Calling-Himself-These-Days was in San Diego to do the honors for the Padres game Wednesday. I don’t know if the ball was wet or maybe Snoop’s limo was a little too stocked up on gin and juice on the way to Petco Park, but the man’s effort wasn’t even close.

The toss was so bad and outside of the batter’s box that the catcher had to scramble to track down the lost ball amid a sea of (likely) giggling cameramen. To his credit, “Coach Snoop” seemed to take it in stride with a helpless smile. Hopefully we can all look forward to that hot new track from 50 Cent featuring Snoop later this summer: Pitch Better Have My Money.
