WATCH: This Florida Gulf Coast Player’s Crazily Unorthodox Free Throw Form is Something to Behold

Florida Gulf Coast made a quick exit from the NCAA Tournament on Thursday night, going down to Florida State 86-80 in their First Round match-up.

But one FGCU player gave basketball fans a few moments of entertainment when he stepped to the free throw line late in the first half.

Demetris Morant took a couple of dribbles with the right hand. And then he fired what was basically a chest pass towards the basket.

And miraculously, it went in.

“I’d like to find out the origins of this particular release,” said TNT analyst Steve Lavin. “In other words, who was the coach who taught him this particular release?

We must admit, we’d like to know too. Because this…this is unique.
