White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will hold a briefing today to discuss the administration’s latest plans and administrative agenda. The briefing is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. EST.
Sanders is likely to take questions today about President Trump‘s continued interest in meeting with Kim Jong Un. The North Korean dictator recently took an unexpected trip to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping, which some political observers have taken as a possible precursor to engagement with the rest of the world. Trump tweeted about this earlier today, proclaiming that there’s a “good chance” for the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
Another subject that might come up is whether the White House is going to see any more shake-ups in the foreseeable future. The Trump Administration has seen a bit of a mass exodus lately, and recent reports suggest that VA Secretary David Shulkin is one of the most likely officials to get the boot next. Washington Post has suggested that Trump’s heavy viewership of Fox & Friends often puts him in the mood to shuffle his team.
Other topics likely to come up include Trump’s plans for the border wall, the ongoing Stormy Daniels controversy, and reports of the President’s antipathy for Amazon.
