WATCH: Wild Police Chase Ends With Dog Collaring the Suspect on a Vicious Takedown

Police dog to the rescue!

A very strong and very fast canine brought an abrupt end to a wild police chase in Orange County, CA on Monday.

According to Los Angeles NBC affiliate KNBC, 37-year-old Antonio Padilla Jr. fled from police Monday afternoon at approximately 5:30 p.m. local time — as he was wanted on assaulting an officer with a deadly weapon last week.

Padilla Jr., according to the KNBC report, drove on the emergency lane of the freeway, and crashed into at least two other vehicles as he tried to make his escape. He also reportedly carjacked a woman at an Irvine, CA apartment complex.

But finally, Padilla Jr. met his match. He crashed his car outside an industrial park. Then tried to escape on foot. But the police dog absolutely flew towards him and collared the suspect in no time at all. The dog leapt toward the suspect, and scored an absolutely perfect takedown. Padilla Jr. was promptly taken into custody.
