WikiLeaks Helps Fuel Clinton Earpiece Conspiracy Nonsense

WikiLeaks has decided to throw in with the conspiracy theories about Hillary Clinton supposedly using an earpiece during NBC’s presidential forum last night:

Now, WikiLeaks will probably say something along the lines of “Hey, we didn’t raise questions about last night! We just pointed to a past email!”

Well, aside from the obvious “well that would be a BS excuse” factor, there’s a teensy tiny little problem here with that email. First, this amusing and curious error:

screen-shot-2016-09-08-at-7-49-18-pm

“.goy.” (The error is the State Department’s here.)

And the second, more obvious problem with this email is what the “earpiece” referenced is actually about.

The date of the email is September 24, 2009. And you wanna guess what happened on that date?

This is, obviously, not the first time WikiLeaks has engaged in conspiracy nonsense about Clinton.
