Wikipedia Locks Page Due to Vandals Ripping 49ers GM (‘Professional Team Destroyer’)
Critics of San Francisco 49ers general manager Trent Baalke will no longer be able to express their displeasure through his Wikipedia page.
The San Francisco Gate reports that Wikipedia has locked Baalke’s page after disgruntled fans have repeatedly infiltrated the page and made unflattering edits.
The San Jose Mercury News screengrabbed the page before Wikipedia reversed the edits. Among the changes:
“Despite the incredibly awful job he has done, and continued success in embarrassing and destroying this organization, gutless (49ers owner) Jed York refuses to fire Baalke. An 11 year old can see that Baalke is running this team into the ground, but York doesn’t care as long as he continues to make a profit.”
Baalke’s job titles were also changed to “Professional Team Destroyer” and “Total Joke.”
“Baalke also seems to have some sort of power over York,” the page read. “So until York grows a pair Trent Baalke will continue to destroy this organization for the foreseeable future.”
The 49ers are 1-6, and appear to have little to no chance to make the playoffs. Baalke also reportedly wanted to cut Colin Kaepernick before the season. Kaepernick has been highly popular with 49ers fans.
