‘Winners Don’t Complain About the Final Score’: Seth Meyers Takes on Trump’s Voter Fraud Lies
In a special quick segment called “Hey!” Tuesday night, Late Night‘s Seth Meyers dug into the President’s claims that millions of “illegals” tipped the balance of popular votes in Hillary Clinton‘s favor.
Meyers, easily the most anti-Trump host on the late night laffer circuit, addressed the President indirectly, saying, “Hey! Why do you keep lying about this? There is zero evidence for this claim.” The administration’s new press secretary, Sean Spicer, defended the comments to the media yesterday, confirming that it is a “personally held belief” of President Trump’s.
Meyers continued, “Also, why would you say ‘3-5 million people’? We already know from the inauguration that you have no idea what a million people looks like,” poking fun at the non-troversy over crowd size that gathered in our nation’s capital this past weekend.
“You’re like a guy who won the Super Bowl and spends the postgame interview complaining about a pass interference in the first quarter,” the Late Night host joked Tuesday night. “Winners don’t complain about the final score. You know who does? Degenerate gamblers. But I guess if you knew anything about gambling, your casinos would still be open.”
