With Fuel at $2.25 Per Gallon, Fox & Friends Devotes Segment Encouraging Viewers to ‘Buy a Gas Guzzler!’

According to AAA, the national average gas price is now exactly $2.25 per gallon.

That makes now, according to Fox & Friends, the perfect time to buy a car with lousy fuel mileage.

“Gas prices have been falling, and the national average price of gas is now $2.25,” said Fox & Friends co-host Steve Doocy. “So what do you do with all that gas? Buy a gas guzzler!”

Doocy introduced automotive expert Lauren Fix to profile several vehicles which could hardly go around the block without using up a full tank. Each automobile displayed during the segment was capable of getting 16 miles to the gallon — except for the Mercedez-Benz G63 AMG, which gets 14.

But not to worry, said co-host Brian Kilmeade.

“Gas is cheap,” Kilmeade said. “You can get a bigger car.”
