Newly-released emails on Wednesday showed Jonathan Farkas, the husband of President Donald Trump’s Ambassador to Malta, Somers Farkas, asking late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein whether a woman he was seeing on the side was a “2 timer” or “a hooker.”
“I am seeing [REDACTED] a little bit… I don’t think it will turn into romance,” Farkas wrote to Epstein in May 2017. “I am a bit old and not tall enough but she seems intelligent and kind… Somers got an appointment from Trump… she is on The White House Fellowship Commison [sic].”
Epstein replied, “Careful she is nottrustworthy [sic] at ALLL [sic].”
“A 2 timer?” Farkas questioned, to which Epstein responded, “Worse.”
Farkas pleaded, “Jeffrey please help me here is she a hooker.”
Just last month, Farkas’ wife was sworn in as Trump’s new U.S. ambassador to Malta, with a photo showing both Jonathan
“Congratulations to Somers Farkas, recently sworn in as U.S. Ambassador to Malta! The Embassy team looks forward to welcoming Ambassador Farkas and her husband Jonathan to Malta,” said the embassy in a statement. “Together with the devoted team, she will lead our diplomatic mission in pursuit of excellence, representing our great President Trump and the great American people. Ambassador Farkas joins us in valuing the enduring partnership between the United States and Malta.”
According to the New York Times, Somers married Farkas – “heir to the Alexander’s department store fortune” – in 2001, becoming his third wife.
“He was about 15 years her senior and made it a condition of marriage that they have no children,” the Times reported. “She, too, reports no regrets.”
Mr. Farkas was not the only person shown in newly-released emails to have sought Epstein’s advice on women.
Former Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers, who served in the administrations of both former President Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, also emailed Epstein for advice on courting women in 2019 – just months before Epstein was arrested for sex trafficking and subsequently found dead in his jail cell.
