Laura Ingraham Slams Chris Cuomo for Using Alex Trebek’s Cancer Diagnosis As ‘Opportunity to Hit Trump’
On Friday night, Fox News host Laura Ingraham slammed CNN’s Chris Cuomo for using Alex Trebek‘s cancer diagnosis to make an anti-Trump point.
Ingraham started off by saying that she was “startled” to hear what Cuomo said when it came to Trebek on Wednesday
In the clip that aired next, Cuomo is heard saying this, referring to the Jeopardy star: “At a time of shallow beliefs and rampant truth abuse in our politics and beyond, every night he makes facts first. We need him now more than ever. So Mr. Trebek, fight as you have never fought before.”
“State it in the form of a question, please,” Ingraham quipped before turning to Jeffrey Lord.
“Jeffrey, you used to work there at CNN,” she said before asking if it was standard operating procedure to take “a serious diagnosis of cancer and turn it into an attack on Trump.”
Lord then suggested it was a case of leftism.
“It’s leftism,” Lord opined. “If you remember, Laura, from the ‘60s the ‘personal is political’, that’s what Chris did in essence here…It never works out well.”
“It’s embarrassing,” Ingraham replied. “The guy has stage 4 pancreatic cancer and you use it as an opportunity to hit Trump on Ash Wednesday.”
