Fox News anchor Chris Wallace concluded his blistering interrogation of Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani by asking if Donald Trump will sit for an interview for Robert Mueller, and Giuliani offered up a mostly unequivocal “Over my dead body” in response.
After grilling Rudy like the well-done steaks his client enjoys with ketchup, Wallace asked Giuliani “Has [Mueller’s] office reached out to you about sitting down for an in-person interview with the president?”
“Yes, there are several unpaid parking tickets back in 1986-87 that haven’t been explained,” Giuliani quipped.
“Seriously?” said an unamused Wallace.
“Seriously, unpaid parking tickets,” Giuliani replied, and tried to extend the parking ticket bit.
“No, no, no,” Wallace interrupted.”Does he want to interview the president?”
“Yeah good luck,” Giuliani said, then continued to try and make Parking Ticket Fetch happen. “Good luck after what they did to Flynn the way they trapped him into surgery and no sentence for him, 14 days for Papadopoulos, I did better on traffic violations than they did with Papadopoulos.”
“When you say good luck you’re saying no way?” Wallace asked.
“Over my dead body, but you know, I could be dead,” Giuliani replied.
After this interview, he should be so lucky.
